She began her career working in fashion editorial as an editor before becoming the Fashion Director for MTV Networks where she collaborated with executive producers and recording artists on the overall programming and branding. Susan’s transition into higher education was originally as adjunct faculty at the Fashion Institute of Technology and LIM College, teaching career development courses at both institutions. Before joining , she was the Senior Director of Experiential Education & Career Management at LIM College. Susan earned her Associate of Applied Science from the Fashion Institute of Technology, her Bachelor of Science in Human Resources from the University of Delaware, and her Master of Science in Education from Fordham University. Susan enjoys being a soccer mom, cooking, Ted Lasso, and doing anything close to the ocean with her dog Lucy and her family. Todd Lotcpeich Senior Director of Employer Relations and Engagement M.S., Manhattan College B.B.A., LIM College Todd joined in 2018. Before (), he worked at LIM College for over eleven years in the employer relations, career management, and experiential education functions. Todd earned a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Manhattan College and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Fashion Merchandising from LIM College. In addition to his higher education career, Todd has experience in industry at organizations such as Eastern Mountain Sports and Neiman Marcus. In his spare time, Todd enjoys the majestic mountains of the Northeast (especially in winter), the ocean, and walking around his small town on the coast of NJ. Sharon Mella-Reyes Director of Career Strategy Advising M.A., Manhattan College B.S., Syracuse University Sharon joined in 2018. Sharon began her career working in the nonprofit industry for UNITE Here as a member of the Union Health Center's professional staff, working first as the Special Assistant to both the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer, and then shortly after assumed the managing role of the Benefits Counseling unit, focused primarily on servicing those affected by the September 11th attacks. Sharon went on to become the Human Resources Generalist for the company, overseeing recruiting, hiring, payroll and benefits including physician certification with individual insurance plans. Sharon transitioned into Higher Education originally as an Academic Advisor at St. Francis College advising primarily first year students, before being asked to teach the first Career Development course where her passion for Career Counseling was uncovered. Over the course of the last decade Sharon has been in the field of Career Services at LIM College, most recently as the Associate Director of Career Management before joining (). Sharon earned her B.S. in Child and Family Studies from Syracuse University, and a Master of Art in Counseling from Manhattan College. Daniel holds an MBA from Hofstra, several patents, and a Bachelor of Science in Management and Marketing from Middlesex University Business School in London. He moved to New York 20 years ago to attend . In his spare time, Daniel is proud to serve his State on NY’s research ethics committee (IRB) and his country as a Captain in the US Air Force (Reserves). John Perez Associate Director, STEM Career Advising & Employer Strategy M.A., Rutgers University B.A., Rutgers University After working as part of Verizon’s HR team focused on college and entry-level recruiting for over seven years, John made the jump into higher ed. He returned to his alma mater and spent close to six years at the Rutgers Business School’s career services office. In this role, he wore multiple hats including career advising, student programming, employer relations and event management. In the Spring of 2019, he accepted a new role with the NJ Institute of Technology (NJIT) as an Assistant Director on their employer relations team. In addition to managing all interviewing initiatives at NJIT, he cultivated existing and new recruiter relationships to provide employment opportunities for a student population of 11,000 undergraduates and graduate students. Prior to (), Naomi worked at Touro College, founding their first Career Center, and then moved to FEGS (Federation Employment & Guidance Service) and the YMCA, coaching professionals interested in career change or professional advancement. Naomi earned her Bachelor of Arts at N (New York University) double majoring in Political Science and Sociology and earning a NYS Teaching License in Social Studies. Afterwards she attended Brooklyn College’s Master of Science in Education in the Guidance and Counseling program and earned an Advanced Certificate in Counseling to work as a Guidance Counselor in NYS. In Naomi’s free time she hosts Shabbat meals, loves all types of music (except opera), and is an avid movie goer. Previously he was working at Sarah Lawrence College as Associate Director, Employer Relations. In addition to working with employers, he also provided career coaching, assisted with event management, and oversaw the SLCeeds Ideation to Innovation program; a program focused on incorporating theory into practice in an entrepreneurial learning environment. Prior to this experience, Jim has many years of experience in education nationwide. He earned his Master of Arts in History and his Bachelor of Science in Education from Shippensburg University. Prior to , Beth was an Assistant Director at New York University (N) Wasserman Center for Career Development, where she supported undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni to pursue their career goals and navigate the job search process. During her time at N, Beth increased career programming for international students, launched a variety of initiatives for STEM students, and developed career resources. Beth also worked at University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) as an Assistant Director of Internships & Employment, where she focused on technology students. At UMBC, she built partnerships with a range of campus departments and ran an Intern Success Practicum course. Beth also brings experience with academic advising, teaching and curriculum development. She holds a M.S. in Higher Education and B.A. in History from The Pennsylvania State University, along with a Diploma in Coaching from N. In her free time, Beth enjoys hiking, cooking, and exploring new places and cuisines. Illana Julius Associate Director of Career Advising M.S.Ed., Baruch College, City University of New York B.A., University of San Francisco Illana joined the Shevet Glaubach Center for Career Strategy and Professional Development in 2023 after serving as an academic and pre-law advisor at Stern College for Women since 2017, yet her entry into higher education was as an academic advisor in the Grove School of Engineering at City College. Before this Illana taught kindergarten and prior to teaching, spent time working in sales and marketing in both San Francisco and Manhattan. She earned a BA in Politics and a minor in Business at the University of San Francisco. After working on a local political campaign in San Francisco during the aftermath of 9/11, she moved with close friends to Manhattan. Illana earned her Master of Science in Higher Education from Baruch, CUNY and enjoys studying psychology and hiking. She is the proud mom of three girls. Jordan Stecker Assistant Director of Career Advising Ed.M., Teachers College, Columbia University M.A., Teachers College, Columbia University B.S., Roy H. Park School of Communications, Ithaca College Jordan Stecker joined in July 2023. Jordan has a background in counseling with a special emphasis on career advising and social-emotional care. He has notably provided psychological and educational support to United States Military Veterans, public school students, older individuals who overcame homelessness and abuse, non-traditional college students, etc. Jordan earned a Master of Education in School Counseling, a Master of Arts in Psychological Counseling, and Advanced Certificate in College Advising, all from Teachers College, Columbia University (TC). He earned his Bachelor of Science in Integrated Marketing Communication from Ithaca College (IC). Jordan began his work in the career development industry at IC when chairing two professional development programs, namely “the Mentoring Initiative for Networking and Development (MIND)” and the award-winning “Professional Achievement and Career Excellence Club (PACE)”. Jordan is a New York State Certified School Counselor, Public Speaker, and Certified Veteran Sponsor through the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. Hailing from Long Island New York, he resides in Manhattan where he enjoys exploring New York City, testing out new recipes, and mastering his photography skills. Barbara Lerman-Kang Associate Director of Employer Relations & Marketing Strategy M.S.Ed, CUNY (City University of New York), Baruch College B.A., SUNY, Purchase College Barbara joined in 2019 as the Employer Relations Specialist. Before coming to (), Barbara worked as the Senior Career Coach at LIM College where she oversaw Senior Co-op, the Career Peer mentoring program, and various events and programming. Most notable was the Amazing Career Race, which she presented on at the National Career Development Association. Barbara specializes in employer and alumni recruitment and events/programming with a focus on cultivating and promoting internship and full-time opportunities for students. Barbara brings 8 years of experience to (). Originally from and currently living in Staten Island, Barbara enjoys traveling the country and the world, exploring diverse cultures and cuisines. Rivky Terebelo Assistant Director of Employer Relations and Programs B.S., Rivky joined after graduating from the Sy Syms School of Business in 2021. Rivky earned her degree in Business Strategy and Entrepreneurship and was a former student employee at the Shevet Glaubach Center. She was also the President of the Active Minds Club, and on the staff of the () Observer. Rivky is an avid road-tripper having visited 48 states and enjoys volunteering in her spare time. John Perez Associate Director, STEM Career Advising & Employer Strategy M.A., Rutgers University B.A., Rutgers University After working as part of Verizon’s HR team focused on college and entry-level recruiting for over seven years, John made the jump into higher ed. He returned to his alma mater and spent close to six years at the Rutgers Business School’s career services office. In this role, he wore multiple hats including career advising, student programming, employer relations and event management. In the Spring of 2019, he accepted a new role with the NJ Institute of Technology (NJIT) as an Assistant Director on their employer relations team. In addition to managing all interviewing initiatives at NJIT, he cultivated existing and new recruiter relationships to provide employment opportunities for a student population of 11,000 undergraduates and graduate students. He has a sweet tooth, enjoys exploring the restaurant scene and has been on all seven continents—his favorite being Antarctica! Susan Sheldon Alumni Relations Coordinator M.S., National Louis University B.A., Stern College for Women Susan Kirshner-Sheldon is the alumni relations coordinator for in Israel. Her professional background includes human resources management and operations for hi-tech healthcare companies and since making Aliyah in 2014, she has focused on coordinating both corporate and private events. Susan earned her M.S. in Human Resources from National Louis University and B.A. in English Communications from Stern College for Women. She currently lives in Jerusalem. Michael is an experienced event and program coordinator with a strong background in youth programming, outreach, and community mobilization. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Children & Youth Studies with a minor in Marketing from Brooklyn College. His skills include team management, event planning, and outreach, with fluency in English and Russian.
