Vance Zemon received a B.S. degree in physics from Clarkson College of Technology (presently Clarkson University) in 1973 and graduate degrees in experimental psychology from Northeastern University in 1976 (M.A.) and 1979 (Ph.D.). Following a National Institutes of Health postdoctoral associateship in the Laboratory of Biophysics at The Rockefeller University (1979-1982), he held positions of research associate and assistant professor at that institution from 1982-1992), and then served as a member of the adjunct faculty there. Since 1992, Zemon has held the position of associate professor and then professor in the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine campus of , where he teaches systems neuroscience, physiological psychology, perception, and statistics. In addition, he is a visiting scientist at the Nathan Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research in Orangeburg, NY, and he serves on the Scientific Advisory Board and Institutional Review Board of Blythedale Children’s Hospital in Valhalla, NY. Currently, he is on the editorial advisory board of the International Journal of Neuroscience, and he is a consulting editor for several other journals.

Specialties: visual neuroscience, emphasis in evoked brain potentials, psychophysics, and neural models, with clinical research in neural development, psychiatric, neurologic, and ophthalmic disorders.
