Celebrating Its “Double-Chai,” 36-Year Anniversary, the Sy Syms School of Business hosted its annual dinner Monday night, May 1, 2023 at the new Radio Hotel in Washington Heights. Over 400 Sy Syms alumni, students, parents and faculty attended to celebrate the award recipients, listen to a cappella music from the Y-Studs, and enjoy delicious food and entertainment.

The event featured speeches from President Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman, Dean Noam Wasserman, Associate Dean Michael Strauss, and Sy Syms Foundation President and a member of the Sy Syms Board of Overseers Marcy Syms. In her speech, Ms. Syms provided vivid examples of the ethics, entrepreneurship, and optimism that were keys to the success of the Business School’s benefactor, businessman and philanthropist Sy Syms, ��”l. The evening was hosted by the Sy Syms Student Council Presidents Yael Levy and Yoel Halbert. “With the support of many individuals, putting the Sy Syms Annual Awards Dinner together was an incredible experience that allowed us to celebrate our recipients and end the year on a high and memorable note,” said Levy and Halbert. “It allowed us to implement the managerial, budgeting, collaborative, and organizational skills we learned in class. We couldn't have asked for a better outcome of the evening.” A screened at the event honored the “Double Chai” anniversary of Sy Syms – 36 years of developing Torah-grounded professionals who excel both in the workplace and in the community.  The dinner was capped off with a video honoring this year’s Beta Gamma Sigma national honors society inductees.
