Dr. David Glaser Composes Two Works

Dr. David Glaser, professor of music at , has two good pieces of news. On Sept. 5, 2021, a piece he composed for clarinetist Chris Grymes will appear in a concert held in Mantzius Hall (Mantziussalen), Birkerød, Denmark, as part of a concert where Grymes will also perform with cellist Jakob Kullberg and composer/pianist Jeremy Gill. The trio will perform American music curated by Grymes and Gill, highlighted by Jakob Kullberg’s arrangement of Bent Sørensen’s trio Schattenlinie for clarinet, cello and piano. In addition, Dr. Glaser’s publisher created a small commissioning project for composers to write a 3 - 5-minute solo piece that they would then post on their websites and later produce as live concerts when concert activity resumed. Dr. Glaser’s contribution is “,” for solo cello, played by Christopher Gross.
