Dr. David Glaser Composes Two Works

Dr. David Glaser, professor of music at , has two good pieces of news. On Sept. 5, 2021, a piece he composed for clarinetist Chris Grymes will appear in a concert held in Mantzius Hall (Mantziussalen), Birker酶d, Denmark, as part of a concert where Grymes will also perform with cellist Jakob Kullberg and composer/pianist Jeremy Gill. The trio will perform American music curated by Grymes and Gill, highlighted by Jakob Kullberg鈥檚 arrangement of Bent S酶rensen鈥檚 trio Schattenlinie for clarinet, cello and piano. In addition, Dr. Glaser鈥檚 publisher created a small commissioning project for composers to write a 3 - 5-minute solo piece that they would then post on their websites and later produce as live concerts when concert activity resumed. Dr. Glaser鈥檚 contribution is 鈥,鈥 for solo cello, played by Christopher Gross.
